Doug Keith to play Kansas City 09/30!

Doug’s got a last minute show booking in Kansas City. To quote his website:
“This Thursday, September 30th, I’ll be playing my first show in Kansas City in over 5 years. I can’t believe it has been that long since I’ve been back. The show is at The Uptown Theater with Jimmy Wayne. I’m doing a very short set at about 8 pm. The show is a private event so I can’t help with tickets and this was a last minute booking so none of the clubs were available to do a public show. If anyone knows of anything for Friday, October 1st, let me know, would love to play!”

Doug Keith Full Band Tour in October!

Doug’s hitting the road with his band for a full week in October! It’s been a while since he’s done any full band shows, let alone the road with the band. All of the dates are in NC and he’ll be doing some old favorites and as well as road testing some new songs. All dates are on the tours page!

Doug on Jimmie Johnson & Chris Robinson’s SiriusXM show!

This Saturday, SiriusXM will broadcast a show hosted by Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR) & Chris Robinson (Black Crowes) that will feature Doug Keith’s song “The Lucky Ones“.

We were in the studio for the taping and those guys were so entertaining. Chris and Jimmie played off each other so well, you’d think that they were did radio all the time, like an odd couple Laurel & Hardy. In fact, there’s rumors swirling that what was originally going to be one show is being made into two because they captured so much good stuff that afternoon.

Check your SiriusXM listings for time & channel UPDATE: The show is going to be on the Spectrum channel. Still unsure of time, but they will be promoting the show shortly so we should know soon.

Tune in to have these two new baby daddies crack you up.

Here’s to Outliving Me Reissue out July 13th! Radio Show & Tour!

The Village Label is extremely excited to announce that this Tuesday, July 13th, the remixed/remastered reissue of Doug Keith’s debut solo album, Here’s to Outliving Me, will be available everywhere! We’ll update this post with links for where to get it on Tuesday morning, but just know it will be available at your local record store, iTunes, Amazon, and a ton of the big chains. Additionally, there were two tracks recorded for the record that were not included on the original record. Doug agreed to including these with the digital download of the album, but didn’t want to include them on the physical copy of the record because he thought they were odd in the sequence of the record. Fear not though! On Tuesday, July 13th, we will be making those two unreleased songs, “Plenty of Reason to Worry” and “The Last Time I Was Punched” available as free downloads right here on TheVillageLabel.com whether you bought the album or not! Gotta love it!

To celebrate the release, tomorrow, Saturday, July 10th, Doug is taking over the airwaves at WHUS in Storrs, CT and broadcasting a show from noon to 3 pm EST! He’ll be playing songs live, playing recordings he’s been on (including the two unreleased tracks from Here’s to Outliving Me!), songs he listens to nonstop (ahem…Neil Young…ahem), and talking up a storm. Also, Tuesday, July 13th, Doug is going to be playing a show at The Mercury Lounge in NYC at 8 pm! You’ll be able to get a copy of Here’s to Outliving Me at the show. We’ve heard that he’s going to be doing some new arrangements of old favorites and debuting some new songs!

Lastly, he heads out on tour on July 14th, starting in Pittsburgh, PA and he stays out on the road until July 30th. Check the TOURS page for all dates!
